And here's a video of Munchkin. We'd lain down for a Sunday nap together and I got up before he did. I was hoping to sneak back in and snatch some lovely close ups of him sleeping, but when I got back he was already awake and stretching. Darn...no close ups of those lovely curls or hugely long lashes. So I settled for a waking up video instead. :)

Oh Sunday, Sunday....lala, lalalala
Here's a reno teaser...heehee...
My $6/roll wall paper and $5/panel curtains. Love how they look together, and once we finish the last window in that room and hang the curtains there I'll take a picture of the whole room. Until then, share my satisfaction at how well the curtains go with the bits of gold leaf on the wall paper. Ahhh. :) Have to admit my livingroom is seeming much more me and much more grown up than the 70's dark yucky stained wood that used to be there and the ghetto curtains I'd sewn. Well...they weren't EXACTLY ghetto, but they weren't fabulous....these are much better. And frankly they probably cost me as much as the previous ones. I'd bought the fabric at Len's Mills for $1/metre...but they weren't really curtain fabric and it showed...lol.
Last night we finished 99% of the renos and then went to a ward dance. This meant I was TIRED. Sunday morning my internal alarm clock went off and I woke up long before anyone else. I decided to use the time to finish a project that I've been trying to do for several weeks and for whatever reason just haven't been able to get around to it. A friend of mine writes a rather widely read blog. For her birthday she asked her readers to send her works of art that they have made themselves, whether they regard themselves as artists or not. And I thought to myself, "Eh...why not?!" So I decided to do an oil pastel for her....but it took me FOREVER....to finish. Anyway...here's a picture of what it looks like...if any of you have been in my parents home, they have one in a similar style....just FYI.
And I decided to do a couple of quick videos of the boys. Here's Little Dude explaining why he took down his (and Munchkin's) jackets down.
The video of Munchkin will be on the next post....it's not fitting here...maybe it's a 'bit' too big. :)
Latest funny from our life?....we recently paid $15 more on our satellite bill than normal, when I checked the usage I saw we'd paid for "Girls Gone Wild:Dormroom". Downside?-apparently they can charge you for porn you've never watched. Upside?-our bill next month will be $15 cheaper!

Baby Update
My scanner isn't working, so the ultrasound pictures will have to wait. I went for the ultrasound on the 19th this week. Baby was comfy, had tons of room, heart rate at 141. It was interesting when the technician showed me the baby on the monitor...he was completely stretched out...legs straight and even his neck was stretched, with his chin in the air. Too funny-not the usual position I expect. The technician thought it was a boy. :) So, it's not exactly 100%. With Benjamin even I could tell he was a boy. This time around the technician pointed to what she was looking at and I obediently looked there and saw....grey nothingness. So WHO KNOWS!? In the mean time we're busy trying to pin down a boy name. We've had a girl name ready since we were figuring names for Ephraim...so that's a non-issue. A boy name is going to be tough. Any suggestions are welcome!
So on Friday I went to see the midwife. Heart rate was 156 (nice and strong) and baby was laying horizontal instead of the usual up and down. We had a good discussion about things I can do/use to prepare a bit later on as we are really aiming for a VBAC this time around. This makes me excited/nervous all at the same time. Bottom line is that as long as the baby is safe and sound, I'm good. :)

So we are trying to make our house look lovely to prospective buyers. Today we have mostly finished the living room. I needed drapery for 4 big windows, paint, and wall paper. I have to tell you how excited I am about how it's looking. I have a bit of trim and touch ups to do and then I'll post pictures. For now I just have to share my shopping deals! I bought the paint and wall paper at the Restore. This is a store run by Habitat for Humanity. You know, the people that build houses for other people. I bought 2 cans of paint for a total of $15....both the same colour of white-cotton ball. (I'd love to have a job naming paint colours, it seems like fun.) The wall paper I saw at Home Depot for $27.98 a roll. I bought it at the Restore for $6 a roll and only needed 2. And now for the drapes. I was sure I was going to end up biting the bullet on this one and paying more than I wanted to but it needed to get done. So off we went....and the Jysk store had some on sale, $5 definitely fit my budget. I was even more surprised with my deal when I read the back of the panel and it's regular price was $59.99!! So I bought the 8 I needed and we headed home. (We also bought some paint for our bedroom...only $7.50 for the can.) I was excited, but had one worry. I hadn't brought any samples of the wall paper with me to make sure the curtains would coordinate. So, with some trepidation we pulled out one of our $5 panels to hold up against the wall papered wall....and.....IT WAS PERFECT! I am loving the look and hope others will as well. :) That's all from Home Reno Central...pictures coming soon!

It's Spring!!
Just a quick post to let you see what we did this morning. I've been fighting a nasty cold the last couple of days so frankly I'm impressed we managed to do anything productive this morning. In reality all I really wanted to do was sit the boys in front of a television show and stay in bed AS LONG AS POSSIBLE! I know all you mothers out there know exactly how I'm feeling. The fact that I'm pregnant and can't just zap this bug with as many extra strength drugs as possible is not helping matters. So I'm doing my best to put off the 'natural wo-man' who naturally wants to sleep all day until this cold is gone and try to be a good Mommy. Today that meant sanding drywall mud hoping to get to a point where I can paint this week, and doing homeschool for Little Dude. We did a science activity this morning...here's some pictures.
Little Dude helped with making some of the paper pots and then I made the rest while he filled them all from a large potting container out on the deck. We planted chives in one end and cilantro on the other. We use LOTS of cilantro in our cooking and I'm looking forward to having fresh leaves right outside my door. I haven't really been using chives much, but do if I have fresh ones on hand. There are 30 little pots in this box and I have a couple more boxes to use. I've just lined it with waxed paper...we'll see how that goes. I still have onions and carrots and tomatoes to plant. I'm also going to try to do my own little potato plot bordered with basil. Mmmmm...fresh herbs. :)
Last week at our local playgroup the boys planted their own sunflower seeds...and they're growing!
So, you may wonder what Munchkin has been up to this morning. We're trying to begin potty training...he's not as interested as Little Dude was but I'm even more interested than I was when training Little Dude! So here's a picture of him in his training pants...it's lunch time and he's in his 4th pair. So you can see how well things are progressing. :)

We are artists!
Here's a picture of some painting we did today...and by we I mean Little Dude and Munchkin. I was simply an enthusiastic supporter. :) This isn't the best picture, but it's late and I'm trying my best to get into bed before it gets TOO late! So this will have to do.
The picture on the left is Little Dudes. I always ask him, "Tell me about your picture." And today was the first time EVER that he took a minute and then told me it represented something (a horse!..usually he just describes what he'd done...dots here, red there, batch of green over here, etc). I don't know if he was trying to paint a horse (I think probably not...but who knows) or if he was painting away and when I asked him he realized that, 'hey-this looks like a horse!' And it kinda does. He pointed to the part at the top right for the head and all the crazy lines on the left when I asked where the tail was, so we say-Not Bad Little Dude!
Munchkin took a bit to figure out this whole water colour painting idea...and once he did he kinda stuck to blue and black. :) But he had lots of fun and enjoyed putting it on the fridge and taking it off...multiple times! Right now everything is back and forth straight lines....we'll enjoy watching him graduate to circular movements. As long as he has fun, I'm good! :)

Conversations with Little Dude
Here are a sampling of conversations I've had with Little Dude this week....
L- I love Munchkin.
M- Me too.
L- Me three.
M-Me four!
L-You're not four.
M-You're supposed to say, Me Five!
L-I'm not five, I'm four.
M-Yes you are, and very literal too.
L-Yup.
One morning getting ready to head out the door Little Dude sat down beside me,
L-Is the baby in your tummy?
M-Yes.
L-Did you eat him?
M-NO!
L-How did he get there?
REALLY? We're into the birds and bees territory already at age 4!?!?
This afternoon our neighbour and some of his friends who all own motor bikes were out for a ride. They came back and parked their bikes in front of his house.
L-Look at all the bikes.
M-Yup.
L-Are they bad guys?
M- (Where did you get that idea?) Nope, just neighbours with motor bikes. :)
