Things kids do

Yesterday we attended a ward picnic and it was a little bit chilly and rainy at the start.  Little Dude decided he wanted a blanket and so I unlocked the van with the remote and he and Munchkin hiked off down the field to get another blanket out of the van.  After a while I noticed they still hadn't come back with a blanket and I hiked off to figure out what they were doing.  Found them hiding in the van eating MY gum!  Said to them, "You guys are eating my gum, and you've eaten most of it!"  Munchkin piped up, "Yeah, and then we prayed that we wouldn't lose X-Box."  (One of my 'consequences' I give out.)  "Who thought of that?"  I asked.  "I did," Little Dude said "and we sat in the van and I said it."  LOL....I think we need a Family Home Evening on prayer!

 Big Bunny loved the splash pad!  She is making strides in her speech which is SO helpful when communicating!

 Little Bunny is now rolling around, has figured out how to pinch things and get them to her mouth and just today (a week after this picture was taken) she's starting to hold herself in a sitting position for a few seconds...yippee!

 Cousins hanging out.  Both are the oldest boys in their families and Little Dude would be connected to him at the hip surgically if possible, I'm sure!

 We watched a small group...about 3 guys and one girl set up this strap between two very sturdy trees.  We were wondering what on earth they were doing and then one of the guys climbed up and started walking the tight rope!  He didn't get too far...it was windy that day.

 Tall D took a dip in a little lake fed by glacier run off...needless to say he was a bit chilled!

 We saw bears...3 of them!

 Walked around Red Rock Canyon.

 Even went and explored the canyon floor...which had a very low stream running.

 Best buds most of the time, I'm so glad my boys get along so well.

We headed downtown to a park to watch fireworks.  I took a couple of pictures and then Little Dude asked for the camera....and he took the rest, he even took the one of Little Bunny you see at the end. He also took several minutes of video of the fireworks.  I have yet to watch them....lol...if they're good I'll post them, otherwise I'll spare you!

Summer relaxing!

Things have been pretty relaxed around here lately.  After a few days break our family expanded to include Little Bunny and Big Bunny.  They've been delightful and fun!  We did head out to a street performers festival and played a bit in the fountain.  And our visitor Tall D got a full time job and started his orientation today!!

 And since he has no driver's license yet...and no car anyway...he borrows my wheels to get to and fro.
