No pictures

Sorry....no pictures....yet.  I'm up late waiting for laundry to wash and dry for Big E the next day.  Since I have a day off it falls to me to make sure it gets done, and I forgot.  So, here I am.  The boys went to swimming lessons and LOVED it.  They had a nice set up with 4 classes going on in the one pool.  It's a smallish lane swimming pool...nothing fancy.  Each class had one corner.  Little Dude is the smallest in his class and while the other classes had these large platforms that stayed under water for students to stand on, his class didn't.  Prevailing thought being that the kids in his class would be old enough (big enough) to reach the bottom.  He isn't.  And so I watched all the other kids (well, the other 4- There were only 5 in his class) stand up when the teacher was explaining something and Little Dude's head was just a bobbing as he treaded water while he listened.  Good practice I figured!  At one point they lined up next to the pool and Little Dude was standing next to a young girl who looks like she's about 11yrs old and she's very tall.  It was interesting to see the shortest in the class standing next to the tallest!  Munchkin enjoyed his little class and for that first week I sat down next to his class.  (He and Little Dude had classes in opposite corners - of course.)  He kept trying to swim away from the edge, but he's not really up to swimming much on his own yet and the teacher had to keep bringing him back to hang on!  Good to know he's motivated to swim on his own.  Won't be long before he's trying to race Little Dude!

In other news...I've really been praying/thinking about this property we still haven't sold.  A day or two ago I posted on Facebook about how badly I wanted it sold.  Insinuated I could solve world peace if only I had the stress of that property lifted off my shoulders.  All right, I didn't insinuate.  I stated.  Today I received my first ever e-mail in response to the posting of the property online.  Maybe nothing will come of it, yet.  I certainly hope that inquiry bears fruit, but at the very least there is evidence that people out there are thinking about the property anyway.  We'll see what  happens.  Keep your fingers crossed, your knees crossed, your eyes crossed, and your prayers coming.  What a blessing it would be to have the property sold.

Easter video

Here's the link to the Easter video...it was just a bit too big for Blogspot.  :)

Easter 2012

Easter Bunny was good to us.
 He hid Sprout-safe gummy bears!
And got a bit tricky hiding matching coloured bears on coloured plastic.
Little Dude looks a bit tired, and he was...but they still made cute bunnies.
Munchkin didn't want to join Sprout and Little Dude for a photo op.
A cute little flashlight that roars for Sprout.

 A sock change purse.
SONIC!!  Their favourite game/tv show/active play topic of the moment.
 The hunt!

Sprout trying to chew on a marshmallow treat.
All of us before heading out to church.
And the next day, Munchkin asked me to come into the kitchen to see his 'food storage'.  :)

Coming Home

This is one of the many chandeliers hanging at the Fairmont Hotel at Lake Louise.  Lovely details there.
The boys were impressed with this Arctic Muscox.  I was more impressed with the clothing that had been knitted from its' hair, there were some really fabulous pieces of fashion there.  I didn't look at the price tag, I already knew none of it was in my price range!!
This is at one end of the lobby.
This is the detailing over each of the arches.

When we got back to the car, this is what I found.  Little Dude's door WIDE open, and it had been open the ENTIRE time!  We had been gone more than an hour!
Starting the long drive home.  I kept looking at those 'paths' on the mountains and was thinking they may have been created by large boulders that broke off and rolled down the side of the mountain creating pathways behind them.
Here in Banff they have animal overpasses.  Animals used to wander out onto the road sometimes, a danger for cars and the animals.  But they also realized that people were stopping when they saw an animal out on the road and FEEDING THEM!!  This was their solution to both problems.
A play structure in the town of Banff.
Mountain climber!!

Here is Sprout learning the "1-2-3-GO!" game.  He's getting better and better at it.  :)
