So much has happened...well, ok, Christmas happened. :) We had a blast at Christmas watching Ephraim open gifts and discover new 'favourite' toys. He had 2 gifts that he absolutely loved. One was a TONKA dump truck and the other a Shrek figurine that speaks.
He started talking this past weekend! (Jan 5th). He will pat my tummy and say, "baby" (sounds more like beebe), as he drives cars he says, "beep, beep" and he'll say "go, go!" He is also starting to say "NO" a lot more....but hasn't yet used it to really mean NO! I'm sure that won't be long in coming. :)

He has also learned how to climb out of his crib and so this weekend we did a big clean and took down the crib to set up his little toddler bed. I was wondering when we were going to use it, after all we lugged it all the way here from Ontario! But he is SO happy with his new bed. We'll see what he thinks at bed time! :)
Eden has finished his 1st semester at school and is looking forward to his 2nd semester which begins February 4th. He is looking forward to being able to really dedicate himself to school work since I have started my maternity leave, he won't have to be home to watch Ephraim. He will be in school every day, all day. He finds out at the end of the month how he did on his "Departmentals" which are provincial standardized tests for a student's final year in each subject. This year he did English and Biology. Next semester he does Physics, Chemistry, and Math.
We had another ultrasound on baby Benjamin. In one picture you can actually see chubby cheeks! Something Ephraim didn't really have. Verdict was that baby was doing great all across the board. I, on the other hand, continue to have issues with proteins and blood pressure (which seems to be creeping upwards again). My next doctor appointment isn't until the 6th and I'm curious to see what he says. We'll keep y'all posted...my guess is that the baby may be coming sooner rather than later!
We are eagerly looking forward to my Mom's visit as she is coming to stay with us for a couple of weeks when the new grandbaby arrives. She and Dad have been valiantly taking care of our Condo Issues. We terminated our contract with the property management company (whew) and now Mom is heading up the clean-up, renovation, insurance estimates, selling end of things. We (ALL OF US) can't wait for the condo to be sold and for that sega to come to a close. We are SO grateful for the help of our families, without them this trial would have put us over the edge. We have wonderful families. :) Summer time, with our long visit will be nice. We are still debating when we'll be out, how long we'll stay. I just found out a good friend of mine (Celia, for those who know her) will be getting married at the end of June. I had planned on leaving mid-June...but weddings may put a kink in that date! Regardless, we will be out and we will stay long enough to drive our parents nuts...well, nuttier than usual anyway! :) Take care all, and I promise not to be away for so long next time!!
