Employed Again

Sorry, no pictures this time...I'll get some more up soon. Just wanted to update on our latest news. Well...I applied to teach kindergarten in a small town 15 minutes East of us called Alix. The School is called Alix-Mac. I'll be taking over for a teacher going on maternity leave. Fortunately the last part of the school year only has classes twice a week and then I will teach the following year. This year's class has only 10 students, but next year's class has 20! So we're a bit excited about the paycheck coming in. Big E is doing courses over the summer and so we are all mostly home together for the summer months. WAHOO! :) That's all for now...catch you later.

Here is our newest piece of furniture...a change table! Finally I can stop changing diapers on the floor!! WAHOO!

A week ago I dropped a shampoo bottle on my toe at the pool. It HURT! I completely split the skin at the base of my nail. ouch.

Long Time No See!

Munchkin LOVES oatmeal!!!





It has been so long! I started substitute teaching and suddenly all my organization and time flew out the window! I'm back now and determined to keep at it. We are in John Deer theme this month because it's my Dad's birthday in March and I thought tractors were appropriate. :)

Where do I begin? We have had some fun around here. Last month the boys decided to dress up my carpet while I was changing loads in the washer. They felt a little purple and green would liven up the place. And not that I don't think they have a point....but the technique was a little off and so I spent a half an hour removing the art work from the floor.





We had the stove repair man come to look at our stove...our lovely stove is completely awesome...now has an oven that refuses to work. :( He diagnosed the problem and told us that his personal opinion would be to get a new stove. (WAAAhaaaaa!) Why, you wonder, am I so attached to this stove? Well...it has these elements that you can mix and match and right now we have two radiant heat elements on one side and a griddle on the other side. SO cool and it works great....well, except for the oven part. And that part WAS working great....the oven was all the same temperature and it was lovely. Now I'm almost tempted to use my crockpot for baking and the like and just leave the stove. :) Big E has a hankering for shake-n-bake chicken so we'll have to get a replacement stove sometime in the future. *sigh*

I moved my microwave to make better use of counter space...so that's why there's a boring picture of the microwave! :) You can see that I haven't yet finished taking off the sunflower border.
