summer fun and ECZEMA!!!!

This is a BIG horse fly that was slowly dying on the trampoline.  No one would touch it (didn't I have boys...not girls??), so Mommy braved the giant insect, scooping it up with the dog's ball thrower and tossing it where it could die in peace.  Here are a couple of summer shots of Munchkin and Little Dude.

POOL FUN!  In this weather a pool feels more like a necessity than a luxury.  Also a necessity-de-chlorinating shampoo!

Sprout had so much fun in his jumper....he jumped himself to sleep!

Cousins having a blast, playing quietly trying not to wake up the Mommy!
This is one of my favourite pictures of my Mom and Dad.  It's a bit grainy because I've blown it up so much...note to self, try to get a good close up before I leave.

Pensive Moment at the farm.  :)  Cute chubby cheeks.  It wasn't until later that I realized I hadn't washed the hat and that the eczema on the back of his head and his cheeks were probably a reaction to the hat and its' straps.  Grrrr.

Shocked he's riding or shocked that no one has tipped him over yet?
Cousin J and Little Dude.  They did painting one day, J was so careful.  Little Dude felt a little more free with his brush.
Sprout LOVES hair.  :)
Little Dude on the farm enjoying the summer.  He's told me half a dozen times how much he likes to visit the farm.  It's too bad we didn't live closer, once a year is about as often as we can visit.
LOOK at this poor boys Eczema!  And this isn't the worse it's been, but you can't see his wrists here and they were just big sores!  Even his eye on the right is a bit swollen and there's lots of red.  So we tried this new treatment suggested by the Shopper's Drug Mart person...and 4 days later he looked like....

THIS!  Lovely baby-like skin.  We have to keep moisturizing and staying away from things he reacts to like milk, wool, and detergents.  In the UK infants who have eczema are sent immediately to an allergist.  Here they simply give out hydro cortisone cream and send you on your merry little way.  Steroids that will thin the skin over time and if used long enough stop working, is not what I consider a solution!
